That means you should feel fairly satisfied, but you should still be able to eat more. If you have a lot of weight to lose, you can take that down to 6/10ths. 2. Don't drink the soup bases. You can eat your ramen noodles, but don't drink the soup. They're really high in salt, and especially in restaurants, they're not healthy. 3. Restaurant meals are generally not healthy, just the same as anywhere else in the world. So go easy on eating out. 4. In Japan one of the big oils they use for cooking is called perilla. Use perilla oil when you are cooking. It's really high inOmega-3 fatty acids, just like fish oil. 5. Eat your vegetables and fish. Even if you don't like vegetables and fish in your home country, try them in Japan. You might be surprised. I didn't eat them in America, but I love them in Japan. They taste completely differently to me. Some examples of healthy meals are: Salad dishes, fish dishes, nabe pots with vegetables and noodles, and fried rice with vegetables (also called chahan). 6. Of course stay away from deep fried food. Japan unfortunately has a lot of deep-fried food. 3. Okay, and the third and final factor I'll talk about is being active. In America I've never lived in a city that has had decent public transportation. Stores are miles and miles from my house. But not in Japan! Most of you will be living in cities where you can get everywhere you need to go by walking, riding your bike, or taking public transportation, which you will walk or ride your bike to. It's so easy to be active. I also recommend taking up jogging right away once you get there, either right out your front door if you're not in a super busy area, or if you are go to a park or something like that. Jogging in Japan is SO safe; you really don't have much to worry about. Okay, so remember that the hardest part about getting healthy is making that lifestyle change. So keep all of this in mind when you move to Japan, and you can start out your new lifestyle as a healthy one. I personally am SO much healthier when in I'm Japan. I eat healthy,I'm active, and I exercise all the time. And it wasn't difficult for me despite being a lazy person because I wasn't already stuck in an unhealthy routine. I usually gain about ten pounds when I'm in America, and I always lose it when I'm back in Japan. So please don't let your weight hold you back from visiting Japan. Your weight does not define who you are. And while it is certainly less common to see overweight or obese people in Japan, they are still there. You will not be alone. Moving to Japan could potentially be one of the greatest decisions you make about your health.

Weight in Japan Part I
I get a lot of messages from people saying that they're really worried about visiting Japan because of their weight. And I really want to address this because I have a lot of things to say about it. A. You should never deprive yourself an experience because of how you look. You don't know what the future holds. You might not ever get another chance. B. People are going to look at you anyway, because you're a foreigner. This will happen less in the bigger cities, but it's still going to happen no matter what. C. I can't say whether someone will say something mean to you, or laugh, but I can say that making fun of someone in Japan is such a bad thing that other Japanese people will go so far as to say that person is not acting Japanese. D. With a little bit of planning you can use Japan to fairly easily lose weight. Rachel, what on earth do you know about losing weight? Well, the first time I went to Japan I was there for 5 months. And despite already being at a low weight, I lost 20 pounds, or9 kilograms, when I was there. I wasn't even trying to lose weight. It just happened. And despite being skinny, I do have my own struggles with maintaining an active lifestyle and eating healthy But Japan can be a fantastic place for these things, and I will tell you why. 1. The number one reason losing weight is difficult is because it requires a some what permanent lifestyle change. And change is hard. Just getting started is hard enough, but even after you get started there is always that day where you come home from work, and you're really tired and you just want to relax so you just say, "I really just want to relax today. . . Just this one time I'm going to skip going on a run and I'll just throw something in the microwave. " And then it happens again. And again. And suddenly you can't remember the last time you went running and you find yourself eating 12 bags of flaming hot potato chips over Christmas break. But Japan is a completely different environment from America. The city structure is different, and the food is different. Moving to Japan is FORCING a lifestyle change on you. You don't HAVE to do anything! It's being changed for you. That is your biggest block to losing weight out of the way right from the beginning. If you keep that in mind when you move to Japan, you can set up your new lifestyle as a healthy one. 2. The 2nd biggest factor in losing weight is your diet. Regardless of what your hormone situation is, if you are taking in less energy than you put out, you will lose weight. Period. That is physics. And it's much easier to eat a healthy diet in Japan than it is in America. Japanese meals are heavy on vegetables, fish, rice, soy products, and noodles. And again, because you're already beginning a lifestyle change, you can start your new life in Japan by using those healthy ingredients. So, here are some quick tips:1. You should always use the "Bun me" system. ALWAYS. In fact, you should start using it right now and you should be using it for the rest of your life. The "Bun me" system is how full your stomach should feel when you're finished eating, on a scale of 1 to 10. Ina healthy lifestyle, you should aim for 7分目 or 8分目, which is 7 or 8/10ths of the way full.

How do you disable recommended Apps for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3
So what are recommended apps?
They are five icons that show up in your notification panel when you plug in your earphones or you dock your galaxy note 3. So those are the apps that use the most when you have that peripheral connected, well some people don't like that so i wanted to show you how to do just that, how to disable it. And i also wanted to discuss some tips on how to remove apps that you necessarily don't need for example the ones that your carrier has included because they are taking up some memory and they be taking up some battery as well. So let's get started. So to see recommended apps, plug in your earphones,or dock your device, and you'll get the most commonly used apps in the notification bar. If you had a galaxy note 2, you may be thinking, yeah, it's kinda like page buddy. Well, that couldn't be more closer to the truth. In fact, it is page buddy, just presented to you in a more subtle way.
The note 2 has gained this feature as well, but for some reason, i don't seem to get recommended apps when i detach the s pen on my note 3, but i get it on the note 2. And just to be clear, i personally like there commended apps feature. When i plug in my earphones, it knows that i'm probably wanting to listen to music. However, not everyone likes this feature. And if that's you, here is how to disable it. Go to settings -> general -> application manager. Swipe to the left until you see the all tab. Scroll down until you see page buddy notisvc. Select it. Then hit turn off. For it to take effect, you need to restart the device. Stopping it, and plugging your earphones again won't do the trick. A reboot seems to be required. But before you do that, if you haven't done so already, i wanted to show you that you can use the application manager to debloat, which is another way to say "remove unnecessary carrier apps". Some of them take up a lot of memory or the cpu, which can make your device run not as smooth. And it also means more battery use as well. So here are all the apps i've disabled. The apps you may want to turn off will be entirely different but i generally find most apps provided by any carrier to be pretty much useless. Except maybe one or two that lets me manage my wireless account. So just to demonstrate that recommended apps don't appear any more, i'm going to reboot my device. And you can see, you no longer get the recommended apps appearing on top when you plug in your earphones or connect your device to a dock. So that's it for today's video. And thank you for asking that question. I know that a lot of you like this channel because i tend to answer a lot of questions in the comments, however, youtube does not necessarily notify me of all the comments that come in especially for the older videos. So as a solution to that, i was thinking maybe i can do a live hangout.

How to build an aquarium stand
When it comes to smaller tanks, you can minimize the space that they take up by simply stacking them on top of each other. Now in the past i have actually have shown how to build aquarium stands and multiple level aquarium racks in the past, Now this racks that I'm about to show you is intended for aquariums 30 gallons or less. With that said we will be using half the materials we usually do to make rack. For this build i used seven 2x4's and about 120 wood screws that were #8's and 2. 5" long. Using wood glue for this build is optional, but if you do intend to use it, it will make the stand a lot stronger.
The total cost for this entire project was under $25. The plans for this are so simple that you can adjust how you want to put it together. I first start out with the platforms that the tanks will sit on. I Makes these about1/2"-1" larger than the bottom of the tank to allow for a bit of wiggle room. Screwing the front and back on the outside of this formation. I repeat this for as many tanks as i need. In this case, i needed 3. Next, i sit the tank supports up, and screw in the side supports. I use at least 4 screws for each contact point. Now this is where you can use wood glue if you want to. These side supports will depict how tall the stand will be. The spacing of the tank supports needs to account for not only the tanks height but also how much working room you will need. I suggest at least 4 inches allowing for ample room for you to work on the tanks when the time comes. You will want to make sure the tank supports are level and square. So insure you use both when building the stand. Now obviously as is, we have a make shift stand. However, all the weight of the tanks will now be on the screws. So we will want to alleviate that a bit. A 2x4 cut to the width of the stand and placed under each tank support will provide a lot of extra support. Again, 4 screws into each contact point. Now we still have the tank weight on the screws, but we have more than enough support from them to worry about it. A wood screw, on average has a shearing strength of about 100-150 pounds. Meaning, how much weight they can take before snapping. Each tank is supported by 32 screws. The tanks that I'm using are 30 gallon aquarium and if you do the math this rack is 10 times stronger than i need. The is a tall stand and it is evident that this might tip over. . One of the best things you can do is actually is to secure the top of the rack to a wall. That will not be possible for everyone, so what i do is add in a couple of supports to the bottom of the rack. The supports at the bottom should be the width of the stand and secured to each leg with more screws. The supports should come out and extra 6" from the stand. This will prevent it from tipping. The benefit to this type of rack is that it is cheap and easy to do. It also takes up less space in width than my typical stands do. On that same note, this style rack is only for tank 30 gallons or less, so it does have its limits.

There's this great saying, "we've got one mouth, two ears, so you should listen twice as much as you should speak. " believe it or not, guys, i read every single comment that comes through and i do pay attention to what you all are saying. I've been trying to adjust. I know you guys are screaming for visuals, but because i don't have a full-time audio tech person, it's still a ways off before i have visuals in all my videos, but i am listening and i'm trying to adjust. I'm trying to make things better. Listen to your audience. I know it may be hard when you don't have an audience at all and that audience may simply be your brother. It may be your kids. It may be your parents, but listen to them and adjust a bit. Now, listen with a great enough soul after you start doing it a while because you're going to find that not everyone's opinion is right, but definitely be listening to people because at the end of the day, those are the people you're trying to reach. 3. Record and watch this is kind of related to listening in practice, but if you've got a video camera and most of you guys have one on your phone, if somehow you can record yourself, record it and watch. It's going to be painful because you're going to see just how good or how bad you really are, most likely bad because we are our worst critics, but if you can get it up to a point where you feel pretty good about the presentation, you really want to do this because you're going to start seeing that you use probably a lot of crutch words, and crutch words are"umm", "like", "or". I use crutch words. I think my favorites one is "at the end of the day", if you haven't heard me say that probably a hundred times or more in my videos, so record and watch. 4. Be honest with yourself don't try to live in this dream thinking that, "i'm the best. " yes, we all think it. In fact, what are the stats out there, that 80% to 90% of us think we're above average and if you think about that, that just doesn’t work out. Only 49% of us can be above average and most of us think we're really above average. Be honest with yourself, but realize that if you're honest with yourself, if you're willing to go that extra mile, there's no traffic on the extra mile. Just look around. How many people are going through the extra effort to put out content in your profession? How many people are getting up at 4:00 in the morning, work until 10:00 or 11:00 at night, really putting out and becoming a leader in the industry? So remember, there's no traffic on the extra mile. 5. Know the subject and know your audience this is really about you taking the time to do the research. Before i did any of these videos, guys, i've written hundreds of articles. It's why i can talk about this stuff. I mean,i work full time as a custom clothier, so i see the clothing every single day. Because i know the subject, i can talk very well about it. Now, don't let that hold you back if you feel that you're just getting in this. When i first started off, i didn’t know anything about this industry. Go back five years. I was just graduating business school and i did not have a custom clothier. I wasn't a custom clothing expert or a style expert, but i've worked to transform myself. And literally within a period of five years, which is relatively a very short amount of time, i've been able to build up the brand i have. Okay. Last, i did talk also about the audience, so you want to know who you're speaking with. I judged at the venture labs investment competition down in Texas and i have a lot of people presenting me business ideas. I felt one of the big things that these people messed up on, is they didn’t realize the audience they were going for. One of them was a great presentation, but they had a video which was aimed and was really risked. It was a minute long and they've only got 15 minutes in that presentation. I really felt they should've kept that video like at 15 seconds. I was looking around and i was the youngest guy on that panel. Most of them were like50 to 60-year-old guys, and they were just in shock and awe that they were showing us,let's just say, very interesting party photos from southern cal. It was a great business,by the way, and i really love their business idea, but that one video, it was like, gosh, you've got to know your audience a little bit better, so know who you're speaking with and build the presentation or how you're talking to them. Last bonus one, number six, i didn’t even talk about it or didn’t tell you i was going to give you this one, but carry notes. A lot of people wonder how do i talk for so many minutes without cutting up these videos. Well, really i've got a little bit of a teleprompter. Well, it's not really a teleprompter. It's a whiteboard which has the points laid right out there, so occasionally you'll see me look over. That's because i don't memorize this stuff. I try to do so many videos right now that i need this to be able to go to, but if you're giving out a presentation, perhaps you can have a whiteboard in front of you, but what you can't have are the notes in your back pocket. Now, hopefully you won't have to reach back there and pull them out, but if you get lost, if you lose your voice, if something happens, you can just excuse yourself, pull them out. No one is going to hold that against you. We're all human beings. Okay. So hopefully that helped. I wish you guys the best and let me know on the comments what you guys think of this. It's a little bit outside of the style arena, but i think it applies. I've got a gentleman, he's a speech pathologist, and we're going to be talking about possibly forming an entire business that would be aimed towards helping men speak better especially as more and more men are looking to get up in front of groups. It would actually probably gear towards women as well, but it really would be about helping people get rid of crutch words, speak in a more authoritative tone and voice so the fact that you've got an accent or that you sound perhaps -- i'll just use another quick example. I had a good friend, a medical doctor but he had, let's just say, a very southern Californian accent. I remember when he would talk it would pull down his credibility because he used so many crutch words even though he was an incredible surgeon. It would just make him not seem as professional whenever he was speaking in front of a group, so i'm curious. If you guys think there's room for something like this, go ahead and leave your thoughts on the comments.
Real Men Real Style Part I
The founder of real men real style. Today, i'm going to be giving you five tips on how to improve the way you speak. If you haven't already, please subscribe to my youtube channel. By doing that, these videos will come right to you. In addition, if you like this, if you find it useful, i would appreciate it if you would like it down below. And last but not least, if you want to learn more about men's style, not so much speaking but i focus mostly on style, i've got a freee-book down there, 47 pages. It's great. In addition, a premium e-book, 600 pages, 400 images, 14 hours of audio. I really find that when someone purchases the e-book, they take action. Guys, if anything, watching my videos, it's great reading my articles even better, but you really need to take action on this stuff if you want to improve your life. Having said that, this is a response to a question i saw on the comments awhile back. Someone was asking me, "how do you speak the way you do? You come across as really natural. It seems like you were born that way. " i really want to throw that fallacy right out the window. Guys, i practice a lot. If you go back to my earlier videos, i don't think they were that great. I was talking really slow and i've since, i think, become much better in front of the camera, but even before that, for years, i have been trying to improve the way i speak in front of groups and audiences because i feel it's really important. I think in high school, i remember reading something about how public speaking is the number one fear that people have. I was an introvert. I was really quiet in high school and it was hard for me to get up in front of a group and talk. Presentations were not my strong point, but i realized that if i was going to do well with what i wanted to do with my life, i need it to be able to get up in front of people and talk. I've frozen up in front of groups. It's happened in times. I really wish i could go back and help myself, but these are five tips i have found that have really helped me improve the way i present and i speak in front of others. 1. Practice there's a reason why i'm putting out so many videos. This is because i've really got big expectations for myself and where i want to take my channel, my business, and a lot of these videos i do, i look at it, is practicing for where i'm going. I know we've put out well over 200 videos, but what you haven't seen are the hundreds and hundreds of videos that haven't made it simply because i didn’t feel they were good enough. Let's just say i practice a lot and if you don't practice, if you think you can wing it, you're really setting yourself up for failure. There was a guy named pat flynn. I follow him over at smart passive income and i know he spoke recently at blog world. He went through the entire process of how he practiced again and again, sometimes in front of his -- i think he's got a two-year-old son now; that was the only audience. But when he got up there and he gave his speech at blog world, guess what? All of his presentation props failed. They couldn't get it going, but pat just looked forward and he kept going because he knew his presentation by heart. When you practice that much and that doesn’t even bother you, people are just going to be, "wow!"so practice, practice, practice. 2.
